Expressive Writing

One-hour course

June 14, 2026

1:00 - 2:00 PM

St. Louis, MO (In-person only)

This “Juneteenth Creative Reckoning” Expressive Writing course can offer a simple but powerful reset: a guided space to tell your truth, name what has been carried and transform feeling into language. It is welcoming, low-pressure and structured enough to help you begin—even if you do not consider yourself a writer.

The Expressive Writing course is a short, accessible creative practice rooted in the themes of Juneteenth: unfinished history, delayed freedom, resilience and hope. Participants are invited to respond to focused prompts that help them explore their passions, emotions, identity and possibility without needing to polish or perform.

The goal is not to produce “good writing,” but to create an honest space where you can write freely, reflect deeply and discover what you are ready to say.

Intuitive Drawing

One-hour course

June 14, 2026

1:00 - 2:00 PM

St. Louis, MO (In-person only)

Intuitive Drawing is a gentle, accessible way to explore your emotions through image rather than words. It is especially powerful because it does not require artistic skill; it simply asks you to notice what you feel, trust your instincts and let shape, color, line and texture carry meaning.

The experience is designed to feel open, encouraging and nonjudgmental. Guided prompts and a carefully curated setting help reduce pressure and allow you to settle into creative focus.

Approachable for all comfort levels, it is useful for those who want a creative entry into healing without needing to explain everything in words.

Over time, intuitive drawing can strengthen self-awareness, emotional flexibility and trust in personal intuition.
